Mount Ascension:
Nestled at an elevation of 800 meters on Monte Ascensione (1,110 meters above sea level) is the association’s headquarters.
Mount Ascensione, with its bizarre and unique silhouette, has given rise to legends and tales shrouded in mystery; it immediately piques curiosity and sparks the imagination.
Among its distinctive features is the absolutely unique ability to present an identical, mirror-image view when observed from opposite slopes—east-northeast and west-southwest—at a certain angle: Sometimes it resembles the face of a sleeping giant or a young girl when viewed from the Teramo area, or the profile of Cecco D’Ascoli—first a friend, then an adversary of Dante—or, as some even claim, Dante himself.
It is also highly valuable from an environmental perspective, given its abundance of forests and diverse wildlife.
A mountain of the people of Ascoli, the Ascensione accompanies them, visible from various points in the city, starting with the Porta Maggiore bridge.
YOGA INSTRUCTORS AT THE HARA CENTER – ASD/APS YOGA SCHOOL
The instructors at the Hara Center – Yoga School are certified teachers whose primary goal is to introduce students to yoga and help them experience it, following the Satyananda (or Bihar Yoga) method and tradition.
A method, a system that we practice daily on ourselves—some for 10 years, some for 20, and some for 40. An approach to traditional yoga that “has done and continues to do good,” “makes our lives better” in every aspect and situation—and this is the main motivation behind our “being yoga teachers”: to allow anyone who wishes to experience and learn yoga as explained and taught by our masters, so they may live a better life, filled with joy, regardless of life’s various circumstances.
Our goal in teaching yoga is to provide a “service”: to make our experience and knowledge available to those who wish to learn about and experience yoga in its various forms, and to enable anyone who wishes to do so to practice independently in a safe and proper manner.
